Quick learner!

We are so impressed at how quickly Robin learns. He's learning sit and offered it 4 or 5 times in exchange for some rotisserie chicken. He did not put his paws up on any counters or furniture today. And that was only with a day or two of training not to do it! We gave him the run of the house for a short time today where he dragged a leash along and we shadowed him. He was very appropriate during the whole time. He sniffed the trash but did not go into it. He did not put his paws on the kitchen counter despite there being lots of interesting things up there. He did not get on the furniture and he did not mark (even for our bushy houseplants that look like outdoor plants). YEAH! We'll keep letting him explore while shadowing until we know he knows what to do. But he is off to a great start.

We also had shown him how to do the agility jumps the other day and he went over a few for me today (set really low cause he is a puppy and we don't want to hurt his joints). Not in a really trained manner, but just followed me over them like they were a game. But that is how you start the training...

He has gotten alot more freedom in the bedroom and master bath. He left the shoes alone and was so well behaved I even left him alone in there for short periods. We found a big old stuffed toy that is about his size for him to play with. He enjoyed playing and wrestling with it so much that he tired himself out and went to sleep.

Robin has a deep bark and sounds like a big dog. But he loves all people. I think that there isn't a burglar in the world that would dare break into a house if they heard him bark. But he is a total love to all people. He loves everyone he meets so if someone did dare ignore his bark they would likely find a wiggling bundle of joy handing out kissed greeting them. This is a great combination as he would welcome guests but scare off any potential intruder.
